WHO IS ADDISON MONTGOMERY
Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery (formerly Montgomery-Shepherd) is a character on the ABC television series Private Practice, the spin-off of Grey's Anatomy, where the character first appeared. Addison is a double board-certified surgeon, certified in OB/GYN specializing in maternal-fetal medicine, and surgery, specialising in pediatric surgery and sub-specialising in neo-natal surgery and fetal surgery. The character is portrayed by actress Kate Walsh.
Addison is a highly regarded neo-natal surgeon and fetal surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Addison is also a board certified OB-GYN with fellowships in maternal-fetal medicine and medical genetics. She also completed two years of study on cystic fibrosis. She is highly skilled in complex, often laproscopic, obstetrical, neo-natal and fetal surgeries. She has special expertise in Twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome(TTTS). She also has a Ph.D in medical genetics.She is one of the only surgeons in the world who can separate fetal blood vessels and correct Twin twin transfusion syndrome. She was formerly the surgeon incharge of a world class NICU at Seattle Grace Hospital.
WHO IS PETER WILDERr
Dr. Peter "Pete" Wilder is a character on the Grey's Anatomy spinoff, Private Practice. He is played by actor Tim Daly. Dr. Pete Wilder’s first appearance was in an extended episode of Grey’s Anatomy, The Other Side of This Life.
Pete works at the Oceanside Wellness Center as a naturopathic doctor and licensed herbalist. He graduated from medical school and practiced traditional western medicine for a number of years before spending five years in China studying alternative medicine. Pete’s medical practice combines eastern and western medicine in an integrative approach, and he is often asked to provide expectant mothers with holistic birthing plans. Pete has also lectured locally and internationally on the subject of Oriental and Eastern Medicine.
